Metro Vancouver, July 2014 — Canada’s new anti-spam legislation only came into effect on July 1, 2014. However, from the very first Bannerman Consultants electronic newsletter published in July 2009 our policy has been consistent with what has now been put into law as best-practice. We have always sent the newsletter only to clients and others who have given express or implied consent. Every newsletter has included our name and postal, web and telephone contact information. Since we have no desire to send information to anyone who does not get some value from it, each newsletter has an unsubscribe button. We produce the newsletters as a means of disseminating engineering information that we hope is useful to our clients and friends, and also as a means of helping to keep in touch.
